HUWAWEI, 5G & CYBER-TARIFFS (All You Need to Know)
5G is the next step in the evolution of network technology. It will allow communication to occur at rapid speeds, almost 100 times the speed of the current 4G networks. The company that is leading the development and deployment of 5G technology worldwide, is China’s Huwawei.
Huwawei has partnered with several countries, which now have Huwawei equipment deeply imbedded in their communications infrastructure. It has also been working closely with UK’s BT and Vodafone, since 2005.
Several of the UK’s communications infrastructure has been built on and supported by Huwawei’s technology for decades.
However with Huwawei’s communications infrastructure deeply imbedded in some countries, some companies have claimed that Huwawei has been tapping into sensitive and confidential trade information and trade secrets of companies, and using for its own use.
Major tech companies like Google and Apple, have been given an executive-order to boycott Huwawei.
In this episode, we examine the issued Huwawei will now face in regards to the bans imposed, and how it will effect the marketability of its producs worldwide.
