Thank you for checking out my videos. I know there are a lot of great learn to code for beginners channels out there, so thank you for giving me a chance.
My goal is to document my progress as a developer and give my honest opinion on what it is like getting into coding at a later age.
In this video, I talk about that the secret to learning to code fast is not copying others tutorial but practicing being able to recall what you have learned without any aid and building your own projects.
It doesn't matter what language you want to learn, Javascript, C#, Python, you need to practice being able to write code, at least the fundamentals, from memory,
Don't just learn to code in javascript. Learn to understand it.
It takes time, and practice. There is no easy way to learn javascript or any coding language. You must pay the price somewhere.
With that being said, you can focus on becoming as efficient with your time to maximize your studying. Lol, I am still trying to figure out what that is.
So far my steps are...
1. Code every day even if it's for 20 minutes - Consistency is the key
2. Learn from a tutorial and try to recreate the project from memory
3. Push your work on GitHub
As a beginner developer, you need to show a history of your progress while you work to build your portfolio. No one wants to see no activity than 5 project portfolios. They need to see consistent effort over time and your five portfolios.
