iExec is a French startup that launched in 2017 with the goal of creating a fully decentralized cloud storage platform.
iExec marries the concepts of cloud computing and blockchain technology to create a powerful infrastructure that solves the limiting drawbacks of blockchain on its own. iExec is an open-source cloud computing platform that allows for greater decentralization of the chain by providing instant access to computing resources on the cloud through an open marketplace. On an enterprise level, this means that companies can store any amount of data securely, without having to invest in server hardware. Any decentralized application can take advantage of the faster processing speed that iExec offers through its cloud computing platform, like servers, databases, and web hosting.
