Throwback Track: Pat B & Ransom - The Drop (2014)
I have made so many tracks I lost count! Some of them make your ears bleed and others are pretty decent. Either way: It's Thursday so we are going to dig up some Pat B tunes from the past. Step inside the time machine.
The first one is from the year 2014 and was featured on my album. I released it on USB instead of CD. I always try to think out of the box and even though some people thought I was nuts it was a big succes and sold out very quickly.
The best track on the album is in my honest opinion this collab with Ransom. He has been a friend for years and we made lot's of music together and played (and partied) a the same clubs. I always thought he had a lots of talent and I'm happy to tell you I was right. This guy played the Defqon Mainstage back in 2018 and scored a big hit with Firstpumping.
I remember his first big gig at Pussylounge. I joined him early in the morning after only 2 hours of sleep because I had a gig myself the night before. I was so tired and cold but a proud feeling took over my body. It was a lovely day and instantly puts a smile on my face again!
But reverse back a few years to 2014. We both loved that bigroom trance sound which was very hot back in those days. We decided do to something similar but with a faster tempo and harder climax. Boom! The track was done. All we needed was a vocal..... We searched for hours and hours. Then Remko (Ransom) said. Why not try it ourselves? Lol... whut? He walked to the microphone and did a few lines. Mmm, not bad I replied! Some effects, a little distorbtion, a bit of delay. Ready!
So ladies & gents. Get ready for the drop cuz we bring the f'king bass down!
