In this tutorial, I will guide you through the process of removing eye adaptation or auto exposure from your Unreal Engine 5.1 project. If you click play and you need to wait for a few seconds for lights to show up, then this tip is definitely for you.
To get started, all you need to do is add a Post Process Volume in your project. Make sure it's selected and type in "infinite" to ensure that the infinite extent is selected, covering the whole scene, not just the postprocess cube.
Next, type "exposure" and make sure the metering mode is manual. Adjust the exposure compensation until you see your scene. Now, when you click play, you can see that there is no more annoying auto exposure eye adaptation effect.
