Time-lapse is a technique where you take pictures at a low frame rate and play them at a much higher frame rate. It is often used to create a short video showing the progress of a building being built.
It is impossible to manually take 10s of thousands of pictures over many months. CameraFTP's time-lapse recording service can help you accomplish it easily. In this video, we will show you how to use an iPhone or iPad for time-lapse recording to the cloud.
First, search for CameraFTP in the App store, then install the CameraFTP Mobile Security Camera app. Launch it and sign in, tap the Settings tab, you can configure the recording settings based on your subscription plan. For time-lapse recording, please select Image recording, set a low upload frequency and high image resolution, uncheck Motion Recording Only,
You can then tap the Camera tab and tap the record button to start recording. You can turn off the screen.
You can log in to cameraftp.com, or install CameraFTP Viewer app to view the footage from anywhere.
To generate a time-lapse video, you can download the recorded images using any FTP client software such as FileZilla; then use a video authoring program to create a time-lapse video. CameraFTP website also offers a very basic time-lapse video creation feature.
You can publish the camera and embed it in your own web page. Users can view the time-lapse camera like a video camera.
