Skunks will make very loud noises when in distress. As heard in this video Skunks will cry out for help. The Skunk making all the noise is inside of the trap while its mate tries desperately to free it. No harm comes to the Skunks we remove but like anything inside a trap its desperate to get out.
Cage traps are the most humane way to remove a Skunk. Leg traps are the most inhumane way to remove any animal, and is illegal to use in Ontario.The best way to remove any Skunk is to secure their den from entry and set a humane one way door.
