In light of new information
The following changes:
We no longer need to differentiate between wave or mp3 we will set the audio type to "mpegvideo" for both. We will use the "Status alias length" command to get the time for the audio duration and close it when it is finished playing. This will be handled on a timer that is spawned by a task.
