Emma's Successful Carleton Architecture Portfolio
PortPrep's Architecture TA Emma shows the portfolio that got her accepted into Carleton. Her insights will help you understand what it takes to get accepted into the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism. Scroll down to find links to Carleton Architecture.
Each year the Carleton Portfolio requires applicants to make 4 artworks that responding to specific creative prompts. The prompts change from year to year and are published in the fall. The prompts that Emma had to respond to are different than the current requirements. Her artworks convey the type of conceptual artworks that get students accepted.
Carleton looks for a deep level of contemplation of the creative brief in each students' unique vision. Our architecture portfolio tutors have observed that many students' artworks begin on the surface and too often fail to delve deeply enough into the concept and symbolic quality of the materials used in the creation of the piece.

Emma works as one of PortPrep's architecture portfolio peer tutors and as a camp counsellor TA in the Architecture and Design Portfolio Summer Camp.
