Hi, Ken Collins here, I've added a companion video to my 5.0L engine swap two volume series on wiring a "speed density" EEC harness over to a "mass air" harness. Hopefully this video will clear up some misinformation on the subject. Although I've been driving and drag racing this project car for a few years, I decided to change to mass air to help correct some stalling and poor idle. The changeover made a big difference in idle quality without hurting racing performance. If you have or planning changes to your 5.0L engine especially if you've installed a performance camshaft, I urge you to consider a mass air upgrade. If you like this video and would like to know more about the 5.0L engine, EEC IV electronics as well as troubleshooting, the complete 5.0L engine swap video series might be helpful.
