메스그램(Messgram)은 2011년에 결성된 한국의 록밴드이다. 그들의 라인업은 아름다우면서 호소력 있는 보컬 김지영, 거친 매력의 스크리밍과 FX를 담당하는 쟈니, 폭발적인 연주의 기타리스트 유식, 파워풀한 드러머 수진, 누구보다 역동적인 베이시스트 찬현이다.
메스그램은 록, 팝, 메탈 등의 장르에 기초를 두고 있으면서도 어쿠스틱과 EDM 등 상상 가능한 모든 요소들을 적극적으로 가미한 매우 조화로운, 한 단어로 정의를 내리기 힘든 독보적인 형태의 음악을 하고 있다. 메스그램은 쟈니, 수진, 유식이 모이며 시작되었고, 즉시 밴드의 독특한 사운드를 개발해 나가기 시작했다. 2015년 지영, 2016년 찬현이 합류하며 이들은 차세대 락스타가 될 준비를 마쳤다.
2014년 데뷔 EP [This is a Mess, But It's Us]는 그들의 시그니쳐인 여성 보컬과 묵직한 스크리밍이 결합된 사운드로 한국 메탈 씬에서 폭발적 반응을 일으켰다. 메스그램은 2015년 싱글 'Patterns'와 2016년 두 번째 EP [Eternal Craving], 2020년 첫 정규앨범 [Cheers for the Failures]를 발표해 2021년 한국대중음악상 후보에 오르는 성과를 이뤘다. 2021년에는 그들의 세 번째 EP이자 메스그램의 어쿠스틱 스타일 곡들로 구성된 [Acoustiverse]가 발매되었다. 메스그램의 [Cheers for the Failures] 앨범은 2020년 5월 K-Indie 차트 4위, 일본 주간 디스크 유니온 판매 차트 5위로 정점을 이루며 ‘BURRN!’ 잡지에서 비평가들의 호평을 받았다.
메스그램의 정규 2집은 2022년 초에 발매될 예정이다.

Messgram is a Korean rock band formed in 2011. Their line-up is beautiful and soaring vocalist JiYoung Kim, rough and intense screamo and FX-man Jahnny Shin, blazing guitarist YuShik Shin, powerful drummer Soojin Lee, and lively bassist Chanhyun Park. Messgram infuses and amalgamates thick heavy genre-bending elements and glistening drops of fem-vox into a unique sound potion of shred-tastic rhythmic sound-a perfect marriage of pop and metal. The band was founded by Jahnny, Soojin and YuShik who immediately began to develop the band's distinctive sound. With the addition of JiYoung in 2015 and Chanhyun in 2016, Messgram and their vibe is poised to be the next big thing in rock.
In their 2014 debut EP, [This is a Mess, But It's Us], Messgram exploded on the Korean metal scene with their signature mix of heavy and screamo laced with female vocals. Messgram has also released the 2015 single 'Patterns', [Eternal Craving] EP in 2016, and in 2020 their first full-length album [Cheers for the Failures], a breakout success achieving a 2021 Korean Music Award nomination. Their latest 6 song EP [Acoustiverse] was released in 2021. Messgram's [Cheers for the Failures] album peaked at #4 on the K-Indie Chart and #5 on the Japanese weekly DiscUnion Sales Chart in May 2020 and received critical acclaim in ‘BURRN!’ Magazine.
Messgram's 2nd full-length album will be released in early 2022.
