In this demo I will showcase an end to end set of processes enabling a user to sign up for an event via a Microsoft Form, Power Automate and a Power App to validate a users attendance using QR Codes. As part two of this demonstration, I will then show you how to build the Power App to verify someone's registration and record their attendance.
The processes are as follows:
A prospective attendee will have already completed a Microsoft Form that has sent them an email with a QR code via Power Automate, as demonstrated here (PART 1) 🚨 • Event Registration via QR Code using ... 🚨
The Power App will then be used to validate a QR code against a registered user, showing USER NOT FOUND for any QR Codes that are not recognised. The app operator will be able to record someone's attendance by pressing a button or validate existing validation with a date and time from their registration record stored in a SharePoint list.
