In this video, I will show you How to Add a Color, Gradient, Picture Background to a Word Document.
If you’ve been wondering how to set a custom background color in MS Word then worry not. Here I will show you how to set a color, pattern, texture, gradient, and image as a Word background.
So, quickly open a document in Word.
Now, go to the Design tab and then from here, you can change page colors.
Click Page Color, and then choose a color and it will be applied to your documents instantly.
Keep hovering over different colors and you will see preview of the word document with the currently selected color as background.
The process to add gradients is a bit different. From the same Page Color option, select Fill Effects.
In the very first tab, which is Gradient, select how many colors you want to use for the gradient.
Specify two colors and then select the gradient style. To apply the gradient, clicking OK.
You can change the color combination anytime. Keep changing the colors until you find the perfect gradient.
Move on in the same Fill Effects window, here you will see the options to add various textures and patterns as background in the Word document.
In the last tab, you will find the option to set an image as a document background.
You can set a local image, an image from Bing, and an image from One Drive as the background.
Just select an image and then click Insert.
The image will now be added as the background.
This is all it takes to set an image, color, and gradient as background in a MS Word.
Removing an existing background is easy too. Just click the No Color option and the background will be removed.
