This story is about Prizren, a picturesque place, in Kosovo.
A landlocked country that lies in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula.
It borders the countries of Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania.
A country that has had a long history and had been at war for many years.
It was defiantly some of my favourite food in the Balkans
Due to its historical and ethnic connections with Albania, it has been significantly influenced by Albanian cuisine and has adopted elements of other countries.
As soon as the sun comes out, the locals flock to their café of choice and wear big trendy glasses and their best outfits to show off hours upon hours people watching.
There is a Stone Bridge; it's iconic to the city of Prizren, built by the Ottomans, I recommend exploring the city on foot and wandering in the Old Town
It has a charming mosque that shines with infectious enthusiasm.
It's Kosovo's second-largest city and is well worth a day or two's lingering exploration.
The castle high above the city is a must-see, and there's a museum or two, plus the town can be used as a base for day trips to the Mountains.
Adventure can remind you to explore new horizons and step out of your comfort zone.
Sometimes it hurts; it even breaks your heart.
But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. - taking something with you.
And hopefully, you leave something good behind."
