How to Bring a DEAD CITY Back to LIFE! (Cities Skylines Beginners Guide)
You're playing Cities Skylines and your city is absolutely DEAD, whether it was killed by a disaster or maybe you have NO DEMAND for anything and the city just WON'T GROW. Well, today I'm going to show you some ways to bring that city BACK TO LIFE by improving city services such as public transit, police, fire and attractiveness, including brining in more tourists with unique buildings and a cruise ship harbor and at the end, we have brought back the demand for residential and commercial, building a beautiful new walkable neighborhood along the waterfront using the Plazas & Promenades DLC and create a new area in the hills above the waterfront using the famous MIAU Method of detailing first created by the GREAT vanilla Cities Skylines content creator, @Xucaboa (subscribe to his channel here / @xucaboa )
In this easy-to-follow beginners guide, I'll show you the BEST way to start a brand new city 100% vanilla. If you're an ABSOLUTE BEGINNER, we will go over the basics of the game, from the starting road layout to zoning, services and how to make money in Cities Skylines. We will go over the next few milestones and what to do when you unlock each one.
This tutorial applies to both PC and console players, but I am playing on a PC so some things may be different if you're on PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc. I have a few visual mods installed to make the game look more visually appealing, but the gameplay itself is 100% vanilla base game.
