In this video tutorial, we will go over the process of blocking in a character with 3D primitives and then we fuse them together to create a base mesh.

We start by creating and placing basic primitives like spheres, tubes, and boxes to represent the different body parts of a character. Then we delete any areas where there is a surface we would like to connect together. After that, we bridge the gaps between the geometry so that we can make it one solid shape. Finally, we go in and edit the mesh by extruding in a few sections, and pushing and pulling points on the mesh until we are happy with our base mesh.
