When a transfer function has higher (3 or more) order polynomial, it can be difficult to decompose the transfer function using partial fraction method and write it in standard form to calculate inverse Laplace transform. In such cases MATLAB ilaplace can be very useful. However to evaluate and plot the inverse laplace in time domain you need to use proper functions. functions of "subs" , "eval" and "vpa" are very useful in this case. I will show you how to use them properly.
Last year with Weichuan we used a more basic approach to plot inverse Laplace transform (which we were doing to calculate over-voltage distribution along a transformer winding) . This year with Philip we needed to do a parametric sweep, which made the use of that primitive method difficult. But then we managed to find these better alternatives.

Finance:
N=21, subs=460
Available budget (N):
460-100-21*(21+1)=-102
Storage limit:
2^ln(460)=70,09
