Rodin - Text to 3D trial.
I tried Rodin AI - a new Generative AI tool to create text to 3D models, for the first time and here are the initial observations:
1. These models are not game engine ready.
2. The mesh extracted as output and other aspects, are not something I am fond of.
3. This will make the process of background prop creation very seamless and efficient - the only practical use case I can come up with for now.
4. Text to the image model for this tool is still something which needs to be trained more as it isn't developed enough to articulate and imbibe the creativity of artists.
5. Rather than using application and software, artists may have to come up with the ability to stack these programs to shorten the pipeline.
and No, AI isn't going to take 3D Art Jobs but sure would make it efficient.
