Russian Storm Troops “Capture” Donetsk Village, West Warned, Ukraine Arms At Nuclear Power Plants?
The Russian Defence Ministry says its forces have captured the village of Krasnopillia in the Donetsk region. Ukraine claims Russian forces launched attacks across 7 Ukrainian oblasts, killing 1 person and injuring 8 over the past 24 hours. The Institute for the Study of War says Putin is now turning away from Prigozhin and towards his traditional armed forces. Russia has hit out at the West saying it is no longer engaged in a "hybrid war", but "almost a real war”.
Meanwhile, Russia has expelled the Estonian ambassadors over “destroyed relations”, and was met with a tit-for tat move by the Baltic nation. Latvia has asked Russia's ambassador to Riga to leave the country by February 24, in solidarity with Estonia. Russia's foreign intelligence service (SVR) has accused Ukraine of storing Western-supplied arms at nuclear power stations.
