Unable to open .exe files in Windows 10? Try these two simple methods and let's know if it's working for you or not. Method 1: right click on the installation file and chose run as administrator. Method 2: 3 Corrections
a- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe
change the value of default to exefile
b- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile
change the value of default to Application
c- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command
change the value of Default to
"%1" %*
