WHY IS NURSING SCHOOL SO HARD??
This is the question I was asking myself all the way through nursing school.
And here's what I've found...
There are 3 main reasons nursing school is so hard and stressful (PLUS I've listed my top resources to help you overcome it!):
1. CARE PLANS
During nursing school, you have to write about a gazillion care plan assignments, and often times, you need to write multiple care plans for each patient.
Care plans in nursing school are basically mini research papers on your patient. They talk about all the things you would do to help them get better.
So this means that you have your normal research papers to write, nursing exams to study for, clinicals and lectures to attend, nursing skills to learn, AND care plans on top of it.

2. CRITICAL THINKING
Critical thinking is probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think about nursing school.
Critical thinking simply means that you are putting all of the puzzle pieces together as you learn, and are applying them to your specific patient's situation so that you can help them best.
This can be really hard and stressful in nursing school, because you may not feel like you know enough, are quick enough, or have enough experience to make decisions as a nursing student.

3. ALL THE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
The sheer amount of information you need to know in nursing school can be overwhelming.
You have to learn how to assess a patient, how to do clinical skills, what each medication does and when you should or shouldn't give it, what all those med-surg disorders are and how they impact the patient...and on...and on....and on.
Dude. It's crazy.
