An awesome vertical arcade shooter with helicopter gunships!
Under Defeat was developed by the Japanese game development firm G-Rev, a group of ex-Taito developers, who despite parting ways with the company continued co-developing game projects together for years. Under Defeat is similar to other helicopter gunship battle games like Sega's Zero Gunner arcade, although its a lot less forgiving in terms of taking enemy fire.
Mesmerizing 3D graphics, and full screen atomic explosions are the hallmarks of this game! While the graphics were quite compelling, the controls were the only thing to fall short. The game uses semi-automated aiming, often times making it difficult to aim at incoming opponents.
The game was later ported from the arcades to Sega's Dreamcast, as well as the XBOX 360 and PS3.
