📌 Description:
Why are reviews so important? Not only do they help customers make a buying decision, they also reduce returns and are an important factor when it comes to winning the Buy Box. Unfortunately, customers are not necessarily particularly fond of giving feedback. But no need to despair – here are some examples of what you can do to get more reviews on Amazon!
➡️ Play by the rules: There is a code of conduct, on which Amazon has a keen eye. Don’t contact customers except through buyer-seller messaging and never ever try to circumvent the Amazon sales process!
➡️ Ask nicely: Often, customers wouldn’t mind leaving a review but just need to be nudged a little. You can do this, for example, by adding a note to your delivery as long as you use FBM.
➡️ Build a story: If possible, build a story around your product and let your customers be part of the story your product tells. They will be more keen to write reviews going beyond the “came on time, is built as expected” feedback. (Check out what A+ content can do for you here: https://www.sellerlogic.com/en/blog/a...)
➡️ Be helpful: Customers rate people, not just products. They will get a specific chance to do that after they have bought your product when Amazon asks for their feedback and uses that to rate your seller performance.
➡️ Use Amazon Vine: Amazon Vine is a slippery slope, on the one hand, a review by a Vine Voice will generate more sales, but don’t forget that they will be stricter in their assessment and too much negative feedback might kill your product.
Last but not least, a good advice: Never buy fake reviews! It’s bad, not fair to other sellers who play by the rules and can very quickly end in an account suspension.
Also, don’t try to be perfect! Keep the customer’s perspective in mind when selling your goods. Do you know that wary feeling you get when something seems too good to be true? That’s what customers feel when they only see excellent feedback.
