Taggart Lake | Grand Teton National Park | Hiking to Taggart Lake
We started this hike at the Taggart Lake trailhead located inside Grand Teton National Park, There were very few people. It did not take long for the trail to work its magic and we are quickly absorbed in the variety of scenes along the trail. The view of Tetons are spectacular, when we arrived at the lake, there were few people and the view of lake and the shadow of the Tetons which forms on the lake is breathtakingly beautiful.
Some safety guideline from the park services.
1. Keep your distance. Stay at least 100 yards from bears and wolves. If any wild animals changes its behavior due to your presence, you are too close.
2. As you enjoy trails, be bear aware! You are safer hiking with groups of three or more. Carry bear spray and know how to use it safely.
3. Give wildlife a break. More than 100 large animals are killed on the park roads each year, unless posted slower. top speed here is 45 mph.
