Multiphysics model of resistive heating simulated with FEATool Multiphysics (https://www.featool.com) FEM simulation toolbox coupling the heat transfer equation with electrostatics. In the model the resulting current from an applied electric potential heats the Tungsten spiral coil filament (such as can be found in incandescent light bulbs). After the start up phase the filament reaches an equilibrium temperature where the resistive Joule heating is balanced by radiative heat loss through the external boundaries.
