If you've been following along with me creating my own dividend app using the yahoo_fin library instead of yfinance, then you might have recently experienced this error, "AssertionError: Invalid response from server. Check if ticker is valid." Like me, you've probably tried changing tickers and everything. The temporary fix is simple.

Click on the error where the stock_info.py file is and change the variable site from /v7/ to /v6/.
