There is an increasing trend that I see of applying open source technologies from other domains, to observability, that in the end is a big data problem
With regards to observability: Open systems and systems where you have control of your data are going to be more attractive
A lot of open source projects struggle to keep up with the pace of innovation in open source because there's so much new information and documentation gets out of date, but the documentation is important for all of our experiments
Get involved with documentation, this is a great way to get started with an open source project
