Today's topic: THE PRESENT TENSE IN GERMAN
In general, the formation of the present tense in German is not complicated, and the verbs are easy to conjugate.
It is made up of only one word, consisting of a root form and a personal ending (e-st-t-en-t-en). However, one must learn the endings, which remain the same for all verbs (regular or irregular).
Irregular verbs also change their root vowel in the present tense. There are 3 different groups of irregular verbs (e-i, e-ie, a-ä). The change just applies to the second and third person in singular. All the other persons are regular.
Exceptions are the modal verbs and the verb "sein" (to be).
