Day #1 - Let's Get Cosy! | Octopus Cosy 9 Heat Pump Installation
A lot happened on day one of our Octopus Cosy 9 Air Source Heat Pump installation – and it’s already exciting to see things taking shape! The Octopus Energy team arrived at around 8:45am and worked right through until 4:30pm, getting loads done.

The heat pump itself arrived (it’s a big beast!) along with the pipework, lagging and fittings. After showing the team around – including the boiler cupboard, cylinder and consumer unit – they laid protective carpet film on the route through the house. While the scaffolding was going up outside, the electrician cracked on with fitting the new dedicated circuit for the Cosy 9, running a power cable all the way around the house. Power was off for less than 30 minutes – not bad at all!
In the afternoon, the engineers started installing the external pipework and trunking up the side of the house, and bored through the wall to create the new flow and return pipe entry points near our hot water cylinder. It’s all starting to feel very real now!
