This HD live webcam view is provided by @MadeiraWebLive and Webcamtaxi in collaboration with the Restaurant Miradouro Cruz da Caldeira, which is located in Câmara de Lobos, Estrada João Gonçalves Zarco, Madeira Island.
From here, you can enjoy enticing panoramic views of the island's south eastern coastline and fascinating landscapes, including some great close-up views of the following areas: Câmara de Lobos picturesque bay, Centromar area and Praia Formosa, Santa Rita where the new Central Hospital of Madeira (HCM) is being built, including Funchal bay, extensive typical terraced lands with vineyards, banana plantations, and other tropical fruits, and around to Pico da Torre viewpoint in Câmara de Lobos.
Excavation for the new Madeira Central Hospital (HCM) in Santa Rita, São Martinho parish, began in early May 2021, covering an area of 172,000 square metres and costing more than 340 million euros. The new infrastructure will replace two existing hospitals in the region (Hospital Nélio Mendonça and Hospital dos Marmeleiros) and is expected to be completed in 2024.
This is also a great place to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks display and the Atlantic Festival fireworks competition, as well as the Festival of São Pedro (Saint Peter) at midnight at the bay of Câmara de Lobos village.
