Greater Washington Jewish community mourns deaths of hostages
The Jewish community in Greater Washington is mourning the six Israeli hostages killed in the ongoing war in Gaza, including a 23-year-old with Virginia ties.
Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who grew up in Richmond, Virginia, was among those killed. President Joe Biden released a statement Saturday, saying the hostages were killed by "vicious Hamas terrorists" and vowing to keep working to secure the release of the remaining hostages.
