The Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication program at CGCC aims to break down the silos in the field by mixing many components of a welding training program and a basic machining program, yielding a more versatile and adaptable worker that is easily trainable and employable for a greater value to the employer.

Graduates will be comfortable and qualified in welding with SMAW, GMAW and GTAW processes in multiple materials including mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
Graduates will interpret blueprints for checking tolerance and for fabricating from scratch
Graduates will be able to design multi-part assemblies and manipulate existing parts using both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional CAD programs.
-Graduates will be able to operate and run CNC equipment including 3 axis laser/water/plasma cutting equipment and 4 axis CNC equipment such as reductive machining CNC's like Mills and Lathes
-Graduates will be comfortable in basic quality control and with using geometric design and tolerancing to check products and interpret blueprints
-Graduates will be able to assemble and fabricate from 2d and 3d blueprints and assembly drawings to tolerance including operations with machining, tube bending and welding.
