Pressure increases with depth
An Introduction:
The pressure exerted by a liquid increase with depth
A liquid exerts the same pressure in all directions at a given depth
The experiment demonstrates how water pressure increases with depth.
1. Take a water container
2. Punch holes in side of the container at a gap of one inch.
3. Fill the container with water
4. Observe the distance from the container that the water jet comes out of each hole.
Observation:
The water jet from the lowest hole comes out with the greatest force and falls at maximum distance from the container.
Whereas the water from the top most hole will fall at the minimum distance from the container.
Conclusion:
The experiment concludes that water or any liquid exerts pressure on the side of the container and this pressure increases with increase in depth.
Pressure increases with depth.
Pressure and depth are directly proportional.
Observation:
The water jet from all the holes comes out with the same pressure and falls at the same distance from the container.
Conclusion:
The pressure of a liquid or water at a given depth, is the same in all the directions.

Similarly,
1. Take a water container
2. Punch holes in side of the container at same level.
3. Fill the container with water.
4. Observe the distance from the container that the water jet comes out of each hole.
