Nvidia RTX NVENC OBS Test: It actually works!!!
So after I found out about the new RTX encoder from Nvidia for OBS, I decided I needed to test this out... FOR SCIENCE! And what I've found is, Nvidia actually pulled this off. The new encoder brought my CPU usage down to 0.8-1.4% from around 15-20% on a single PC setup. I was streaming to twitch at 720p 60fps with a bitrate of 4500 with a lower preset. The new RTX tensor cores are STRONG. Flat out, no lies here, this new architecture is impressive. We now have tech that can help a single PC streamer with frame rates in game that wont lag the stream or cause issues. The quality is great, and I fully expect this tech to mature more as we go into 2019. Color me VERY impressed.
