Raspberry Pi 5 and Raspbian OS make it a lot easier to use NVMe SSD. You'll need some hardware to connect an SSD with your Pi though.

The best thing about the method discussed here is that you can use the exact same Raspbian OS on the SSD. Your installed applications, configuration changes, custom settings, data remain as it is.

You switch to the SSD from SD Card but your system remains the same.
