How To Set Up SSH Key Pairs from the Command Line
Way back, I promised we'd cover SSH Keys eventually, and now is the time. To oversimplify somewhat, SSH keys are a more secure way to log in to a remote server. The process compares two complex, encrypted, computer-generated files. If the paired files aren't compatible, then the log-in is refused.
In this video, I demonstrate how to set up public and private rsa keys and put them on the remote server. We'll login with and without a passphrase, and then edit the sshd_config file to disallow password access completely.
It'll make your remote access a LOT more secure, and it only takes a couple of commands.
