How far would teens go nowadays to purchase alcohol? This short film features a viral Tiktok trend of teens dressing up as old people to buy alcohol, until the plan backfires and everything goes horribly wrong.

From the director Will Schneider: When Covid hit in March 2020 and the world was forced to lock down, I was prepping to make one final short film before I graduated from film school with my MFA. Obviously, the pandemic forced me to reevaluate every plan I had for my future, and said short film was no longer feasible.
"Facial" was very much built so that it could be filmed safely during Covid times. The events that take place in it are a direct result of lockdown, the actors mostly wear masks so that crew would have no fears during shooting, and we confined ourselves to one location so that company moves would not even be a factor.
I am a firm believer that artists create their best pieces when facing restrictions, and that is more true here than ever. I thoroughly feel that "Facial" is my strongest film yet, and I am incredibly proud of the work my team and I did under such undesirable conditions. There were days during the peak of Covid where it felt like an achievement to even get out of bed, so to have made a short film somewhere in that time feels like a miracle. The cherry on top is that it's actually relevant, touching on themes of teenage angst and the need to "be cool" in ways I've always dreamt of experimenting with.
