Hungary Start Crash 3D Animation | 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix
A 3D reconstruction of the 7 car pile-up at Turn 1 of the Formula 1 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix. I animated 12/20 F1 cars that were involved in this crash to get a better spatial awareness of the accident. Enjoy the crashalong!
Drivers involved (Starting Position): Lewis Hamilton (P1), Valtteri Bottas (P2), Max Verstappen (P3), Sergio Perez (P4), Pierre Gasly (P5), Lando Norris (P6), Charles Leclerc (P7), Esteban Ocon (P8), Fernando Alonso (P9), Sebastian Vettel (P10), Daniel Ricciardo (P11), Lance Stroll (P12).
Luckily not as much rain as during the 2021 Belgian GP weekend, but still wet enough to initiate this chaotic start crash. Did the video show you something you didn't see before? For me it was interesting to see just how close Norris was in running over Bottas his front wing.
