Kratos: Ability Valkyrie XQ-58A, fly farther, higher, difficult missions and travel longer distances
The new test "Valkyrie" for the sixth generation fighter aircraft, UAV completed the mission.
The US Air Force, together with the Kratos company, successfully conducted another test flight of an unmanned jet aircraft called the XQ-58A Valkyrie.
The XQ-58A Valkyrie drone should primarily be a "leader" for the next generation of fighters, as well as for existing fighters - the first batch of 12 of these autonomous aircraft will appear in early 2023. Under the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program, the USAF seeks to pair jets equipped with autonomous combat missions, without a pilot, with conventional fighters.
USAF leaders say their Next-Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) initiative seeks to produce a “family of systems” that will form manned combat teams with autonomous support.
