Automatic Video Titles, Descriptions, and Thumbnails with OpenAI's Whisper API and ChatGPT API
In this video, I explore the power of OpenAI's Whisper API and ChatGPT API to automatically generate YouTube video titles, descriptions, and thumbnails. As I write my code, I encounter a few setbacks, but I find myself learning a lot along the way. I create a function that summarizes the transcript, and I offer prompts for video titles, descriptions, and thumbnail descriptions. Though I run into some issues generating thumbnails, I share some strategies to improve results, such as creating a list of viable outputs. Importantly, I advise against using textual descriptions in the generated image. Though I do try a custom prompt, I ultimately conclude that there is still a lot of room for improvement in the generated results. Nonetheless, I aim to clean up the code and share it on my GitHub page for others to experiment with and improve upon.
