Chilean textile artist and designer Ingrato, real name Sebastián Plaza Kutzbach, sees mask-wearing as a conduit to self-acceptance and a challenge to traditional beauty standards. Based in Berlin, Germany, Ingrato combines underground and avant-garde style to crochet couture masks, particularly balaclavas. Some of their crocheted pieces sell for over $700.
