Human intelligence has a little hesitancy on the time when artificial intelligence will surpass its own. After we collect the prophecies that have been made on this topic, a strange result occurs.
When the very beginning guesses have been made in 1965, artificial intelligence overcoming was expected to happen in the following 20 years. While the calenders show the '90s, this overcoming didn't happen and even the new guesses dated far forward. At that point, some science-fiction authors like Vernor Vinge started to say that artificial intelligence may surpass human intelligence in 30 years. While technology has been advancing, researches on artificial intelligence developed accordingly. The time range of the guesses got longer even the expected shortening. At that, the robotic researchers are giving a date for after 45 years. When we came to the 2000s, some people like Gordon Moore, who is one of the most important gurus of the technology world and successfully present the Moore Law, claimed that this overcoming will never happen.
So, seems like there is a game playing by between artificial intelligence and human intelligence. Who will win this game? Will ever artificial intelligence surpass human intelligence in the future?
