Ivan Loginov (born 1994) was born in Abakan (South Siberia), Russia, and began his career at the age of 15 in Saint Petersburg.
In early age, he developed a passion for classical representational art and then obtained a solid academic foundation in classical Russian painting principals in Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg.
His success comes from a deep understanding of the classical school of thought in painting and drawing. He strives to combine and overlap all his skills in order to achieve an accurate representation of the human soul by playing with contrasts in color, techniques, and ideas.
Ivan Loginov currently works as an assistant at the Imperial Academy of Arts: he teaches private lessons in his studio, trying to recreate a real working atmosphere of the best picturesque ateliers, where everything is aimed at getting the results.
In his studies Ivan focuses both on technical and philosophical aspects of painting, devoting himself to finding harmony between internal and external sides of the human portrait – the search for an unattainable ideal of beauty. In painting and drawing he has always been interested in skill, imaginative origin, technique and as the highest degree – simplicity and truthfulness, the accuracy of artistic language, and only then comes the ideological component.
Misfortunes accompany people throughout life, and art is that island of salvation, where even problems become part of some majestic beauty, part of something bigger. Portrait and composition, classical craftsmanship and techniques in the tradition of Russian school compose the basis of Ivan’s work – the author’s style is recognized even without a signature on the painting. He fancies rich and pure colors, and would rather agree with bright disharmony than harmonious greyness.
