How To Add Robots Txt File In Wordpress | Robots Txt | Robots Txt File
In this short tutorial, I showed you how to add robots txt file in wordpress.
Robots txt also known as robots txt file is a standard every websites uses to communicate with search bots (googlebot, bingbot etc) to tell them which pages to crawl and which pages to avoid crawling in your website.
Commands/directives mentioned in the video are as follows:
User-agent: * ( asterisk indicates all search engine bots)
Disallow: ( Command used to disallow pages only works if you put a / & enter the page or directory to disallow)
Noindex: (Command used with disallow to make sure googlebot does not visit and index the requested page)
Nofollow( Please note this is same as nofollow link, It is implemented in your wordpress code between the head tag and not in robots.txt file)
