“Kyiv Ready For Counteroffensive”, Putin Slams West, Russian Army Officer Stole T-90 Tank Engines?
The death toll in Russia’s overnight missile strike on Cherkasy Oblast's city of Uman has now reached 23. A young woman and a three-year-old child were also killed in Dnipro early in the morning on April 28. Ukraine claims their forces are wrapping up preparations for a counteroffensive and are ready to go ahead. Russian Deputy PM Marat Khusnullin claimed to have visited the embattled city of Bakhmut.
Meanwhile, naturalised Russians could be stripped of citizenship for “discrediting” the army, as per the new law signed by Putin. Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu said Russia is boosting combat readiness of its bases in central Asia to counter the US. Putin said that Russia will not follow the rules of former partners amid a tense standoff with the West over Ukraine. The Kremlin has denied that Russia is preparing to carry out a nuclear weapons test.
