Throughout the Second World War, there were many people who betrayed their nations and were later executed for treason. One of the most infamous traitors was William Joyce, who was known as Lord Haw Haw. Joyce broadcasted propaganda for the Nazis, and his show was aimed to demoralise the British. But he was arrested following the conflict and was then sentenced to death for being a traitor. He was executed on the gallows inside of Wandsworth Prison by Albert Pierrepoint.
