World's Fastest Single Core CPU - Intel Xeon L3014 Takes Remaining Record Scores on LN2
I decided to use the last bits of LN2 on the Xeon L3014 once again as I lost the rank 1 score on the X265 4K test and now Cinebench R20 and y-cruncher 1b give you points as well on HWBOT.
I had a lot of issues during the session as I didn't double check everything beforehand. At the start I couldn't even open Cinebench R20 due to missing updates but I got it sorted quite quickly and I got the record score with just one attempt. Y-cruncher 1b I ran 3 times in a row with same settings as I couldn't save the first run due to missing Java on my OS, and running the test via Benchmate has very bad performance. So on the third attempt I got everything done fine and a very solid record score on that test in single core category. Last test was the X265 4K and I got the world's first over 1FPS run in that test, damn awesome if you ask me.
This setup really needs a lot of knowledge and background work, as 771 Xeons aren't technically supported by these X48 LGA775 motherboards. Also running very high RAM is very hard with these CPUs installed.
