190GB Slotmania Crash Reports folder causes 0 bytes free of 256GB
Every day owning a repair shop brings a new challenge and something you've never seen before.
User came in complaining that Windows was signing them into a temp profile.
I saw that 0 bytes were free of 256GB on SSD's C:\ Drive
Could not access User folder, even externally, due to Windows needing to write a 1kb file that grants Admin access.
Had to externally mount SSD into Mac, delete files manually
Plug SSD back into Windows PC (externally), run WinDirStat, and see this mess.
Delete folder, put SSD back into laptop.
Run sfc scan + DISM Online
Manually modify User profile registry keys to point back to original User profile instead of Temp profile
Restart laptop and play slot machine game for 45 minutes because it's fake money. Check CrashLog.
Explain to customer that a slot machine game's poor coding caused havoc.
