Sony World Photography Awards at the Museum of Photographic Arts
Created by the World Photography Organization and sponsored by Sony, the Sony World Photography Awards have been running for 15 years with four competitions: Professional, Open, Youth and Student.
Bringing together compelling stories from around the globe, the work you see here pushes the boundaries of creativity and shows the depth and versatility of the medium.
MOPA is pleased to be the first venue in the United States to exhibit this work. It is exhibitions like this that open our eyes to the rich diversity of our shared world. It is through photography that the universal language of the visual image is made clear. Across cultures, beyond borders, and inclusive of a range of ages, it becomes clear that we embrace the same values and concerns. It is photography that brings us all together.
