FANCY Baked Donuts...using a CAKE MIX! | S'mores, Gingerbread, & Lemon Pistachio!
These baked donuts come together super quick! They all use the same base recipe featuring a cake mix. Try the s'mores, gingerbread, or lemon pistachio!
Base Donut Recipe
1 package cake mix (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, spice, whatever!)
¼ cup butter, melted
½ cup sour cream
½ cup water
1 large egg
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
S’mores
Base recipe made using a chocolate mix
Ganache: ½ cup heavy whipping cream, ½ semi sweet chocolate chips
Graham: ⅔ cup graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons melted butter
Meringue: 2 egg whites, 1/2 cup sugar, pinch cream of tartar
Gingerbread Cookie
Base recipe made using a spice cake mix- plus the following ingredients…
⅓ cup molasses
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cloves
⅓ cup cookie butter
Sugar & spice mixture: 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon cloves
Lemon Pistachio
Base recipe made using lemon mix
Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, ¼ cup heavy whipping cream, 1 teaspoon lemon
½ cup chopped pistachios
